Gavyn Marincheck
Gavyn joined as one of the 2024 CCJ Fellows, and has an academic background in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from the University of Pittsburgh. Growing up in Latrobe, PA, he witnessed acid mine drainage and other industry pollution that motivated a passion for environmental protection and equity. After college, he worked in Pittsburgh based environmental roles with Pennsylvania Resources Council and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. He is interested in how waste streams and resource management are related to the fossil fuel industry and environmental justice issues. Outside of environmental work he enjoys listening to all types of heavy music, reading, and watching horror movies.
