Pennsylvania allows unlimited individual and PAC (Political Action Committees) donations to political candidates’ campaigns. Corporations, like those in the fossil fuel industry, are contributing to elections, creating a pay-to-play scheme for our democracy. Voting in every election is one critical way we can push back on each dollar that billionaires are moving into elections.

None of this is surprising when you follow the money the fossil fuel industry has moved into elections and lobbying: Fossil fuel companies and utilities have contributed over $1,075,000 to political campaigns of both parties since 2018 in Washington and Greene Counties on a local, state, and federal level.
