Join CCJ (at no cost to you!) on a trip to D.C. on Thursday, September 8th to ensure members of Congress pledge to block any efforts to dish out new fossil fuel handouts by weakening environmental protections.
Senator Manchin and Senator Schumer made a dirty deal to gut environmental protection to pass the Inflation Reduction Act. No one has seen the details of bill yet but a one-page memo leaked of this Dirty Deal guts bedrock environmental protections and endangers public health, fast tracks fossil fuels, and pushes politicians’ pet projects. Senator Schumer could attach this legislation to a must-pass government spending bill in September, so we must do everything we can to protect our rights to clean air and water.

The bus will leave the Beau Street, Washington, PA Park and Ride around 7:00 AM on Thursday, September 8th. There will be an additional stop in Waynesburg to pick up more people. We will arrive in DC around 11:30 AM and participate in the rally at the Capital that afternoon. CCJ will cover meals for those who participate. We will leave DC around 8 PM after the event and will be slated to be back in Washington, PA around 12:30 AM.
